﹒This intermediate level course is suitable for learners aged 9-11 in the fourth or fifth grade who have mastered a minimum of 500 characters.
﹒Upon completion, learners will be able to grasp 115 new characters and 90 new bi-syllabic and multi-syllabic words and be able to reproduce the 12 texts studied in their own words. 
﹒Learners will be able to introduce themselves and others; and talk about topics such as health, sports, personal habits, and eating. 
﹒Learners will command the pinyin system, have satisfactory Chinese keyboard skills, and be able to recite simple poems with good pronunciation and appropriate intonation. 
﹒Learners will learn to interact with peers and teachers in completing classroom activities and independently complete daily homework.
